A role as a vehicle technician or parts apprentice, employed in one of our approved Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge dealers or authorised repairers is a fantastic start to your working life. We are looking for young people with an agile and logical mind wishing to combine those skills with a practical approach to working. Starting your career as an apprentice with the Chrysler brands gives you the skills and qualifications to develop your prospects as your aspirations grow.
You will need the ability to work with computers, extract data and then get “stuck-in” to electrical and mechanical systems with specialist equipment, parts and hand tools. There's no better career to combine your mental agility with practical skills. The Chrysler Advanced Apprenticeship Programme is open to all young people, with successful applicants being given employment at one of our approved UK Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge dealers or authorised repairers; allowing you to earn whilst developing practical skills and knowledge.

With work based training, local college attendance for the delivery of underpinning knowledge, supported with brand specific training at our own technical training facilities here in Milton Keynes we will give you specialist knowledge to enable you to be part of a successful team.
The Chrysler Advanced Apprenticeship Programme has been designed to keep pace with technological advances and to equip the apprentice with the necessary skills and knowledge required to maintain our customer's vehicles today and for the future.
If you don't want to continue full time study at school or college, but do want equivalent 'A' level qualifications that would allow you to progress your career at higher levels in the future then apply today. If we do, then you may be contacted for a telephone interview and potentially short listed to attend an interview at your local dealers. We provide formal qualifications, Apprentices study to level 3 Technical Certificate, NVQ and Key Skills. With extensive product training to ensure you are technically competent as well as developing your skills to interact with customers. The programme for the technicians lasts three years with underpinning knowledge delivered via day release at an assigned local College of Further Education in partnership and managed by VT Training Automotive.
Your progress will be continually monitored and reviewed throughout the programme with planned visits from your Vocational Coach and assessments in college. These reviews will ensure you can keep track of your individual performance against the requirements for your qualifications and ongoing development.

Key Benefits
The key benefits to you as a Chrysler Dealer or Authorised Repairer are that apprentices are nurtured over the three years to gain experience in a managed environment and become technically, as well as academically experienced and qualified.
The apprentice will have access to specific Chrysler brand training material, vehicles and equipment as well as workshop manuals, Chrysler brand values will be instilled from the first day.
Chrysler technical training courses and fundamental distance learning packages will be embedded in to the programme allowing the apprentice to graduate as a Chrysler Maintenance Technician.
The programme for the technicians lasts three years with underpinning knowledge delivered via day release at an assigned local College of Further Education in partnership and managed by VT Training Automotive. Your apprentice will also receive specific product knowledge delivered via block training at Chrysler UK's own technical training facilities.
They will also have a regional Vocational Coach assigned to them who will coach and mentor them through their learning journey and qualifications. The visits are conducted on an 8 week cycle to ensure the apprentice receives ongoing support and motivation with their studies.
The programme for the Parts Apprentice is a 2 year programme with a Level 2 Framework being achieved in fourteen months and the Level 3 in a further 10. The programme is completed in house allowing your apprentice to study and achieve in their own working environment. This is carried out by one to one learning sessions and has series of parts specific modular workbooks. A regular eight weekly visit cycle enables our Vocational Coaches to observe all evidence opportunities that occur naturally in the workplace.
The qualification route is through the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) for the technician qualifications and City and Guilds for the Parts qualification.
Apprentices study for a level 2 framework before progressing to level 3. Each framework is made up of a Technical Certificate, NVQ and Key Skills.
The Chrysler AAP is a joint investment between Chrysler and you to develop highly skilled and brand aware qualified apprentices. Chrysler expects you, the employer, to invest and support the apprentice in the form of:
- Support with quarterly workplace reviews
- Provide a safe working environment
- Supply overalls, footwear and necessary safety equipment
- Travel arrangements from dealership to local college
- Overnight accommodation and food whilst training at Milton Keynes for specific brand knowledge
- Salary
- Provide a mentor
- Who will support the apprentice development
- Assist with gaining required evidence of competency
There are no fees for the apprenticeship programme other than those detailed above.
